RECENTLY TRADED FOR A SMALL SQUARE BALE LOADER. FITS ON THE SIDE OF A WAGON OR TRUCK. I NEED THE PICKUP CHAIN, BUT HAVE NO IDEA WHO THE MANUFACTURER IS. THE THING IS IN GREAT SHAPE, HAS WHAT LOOKS LIKE A GALVINIZED FINISH, BUT THERE IS NO I.D. ON IT THAT I CAN FIND. I WAS TOLD IT CAME FROM A DEALER AROUND MEXICO, MISSOURI, BUT THAT'S ALL I CAN FIND OUT. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS! RAY

That sounds just like mine. I don't know who made it. It has a heavy galvanized coating .Sorry I don't know where to get parts. If you find out who made it,I'd like to know.

I believe what you have is a New Idea POP-UP you can get the chain at Tractor Suppy. I have one too and use it every year. I have not been able to locate a owners manual for a New Idea, but have located one for a Bush Hog model, which is the same piece of equipment. You can get a manual by requesting one from Bush Hog.

Does Bush Hog still make this implement? I checked their website, but nothing listed.

I'd like to buy the "old" style loader that has a vertical elevator that the bale takes up and then tips to the side and falls down on the hayrack for stacking. I can't find any used ones near my place (western IL). John Deere sold some under their colors years ago, but were built by an outfit in Kansas, that is now defunct.

Does anyone still build new ones?

I have a Graves bale loader I would sell. Made in the late 60's, early 70's. It is the angle type loader. I'm in Western Il. ph. 309-668-3247

You have to request the manual, it is not listed. Request the manual using: Model 700-001 Repair Parts Catalog Bush Hog Square Hay Bale Loader (formerly Kneib Bale Loader) and Bush Hog Pop-Up Kneib Bale Loader owners manual Assembly and Operation. Both manuals cost me less than 10.00 including postage. All I did was email them with my request. Here in Northern Arkansas you can find Pop-Ups. At present I know of 2 units. They sell for 100.00 to 500.00 depending on condition and who is selling them. I have made my parts that I have needed bearings are a problem usually have to have some mechining done to up grade.
