Am looking at a JD 210 12 foot for my JD 4000. Neighbor says these disk don't cut very well and to wait and get an IH. Price is 1600. What do you all think? Thanks for the help.

I think you could get the 210 with either regular or cone blades. My 14 foot is the cone blade- it pulls harder than regular blades, but I think it mixes the soil more. Good match for a 4020, enough to overload a 3020. Medium duty disk- cuts ok, but I just bought a White 14 foot offset to do a better job on cornstalks. Much heavier overall, but needs 150hp. Shafts on 210 are about 1 1/4 inch, also I don't like the cast standards. Main repair over 25 years was shafts. Price sounds high for around here- I've got my 210 for sale for half that.
