Re-seeding wet area

I have about a 3 acre area on my property that needs to be redone with some sort of grass/hay. The area stays wet until July (central Ohio) most years, with standing water in some areas. The area is extremely rough...and I am thinking of plowing and disking the area when it dries this summer. Do you guys have any recommendations on some sort of grass that might do okay in such an area?

make sure you can legelly do anything, before you do anything it may be considered a wetland.

Tall fescue, birdsfoot trefoil and aslike clover mixture.

If you're feeding horses, don't plant alsike clover or tall fescue.

Prairie Cord Grass or also called Saltgrass does good with wet feet and with or without fertilizer.

It stands freezing weather and standing water both.

You could try some wet-loving natives. And beware of busting anything that can be/has been classified wetland.

"Feel free to contact your local Conservation District / Natural Resources Conservation Service office for FREE technical advice on the subject." including what to plant, how to plant it, and when to do it.
