Hi, I'm interest in buying a disk mower. What the difference between a 920 and a 925 disc mower? I know that the 925 & 926 have the oil bath cutter heads and it appears that they came out in this order 920, 925, then the 926 starting in the early 90's. Thanks, Bill

Bill, I bought a 1999 John Deere 925 last summer. This mower is twice the mower my old NH 415 disc-bine was. I can cut a gear faster, and it cuts cleaner and smoother. I opted for the impelers and frankly I wouldnt go back to the rollers. If you need anything just holler and I will try and help.
John

Hi, I bought a JD 925 Saturday at an auction. Hopefully I can pull it this year with a 53HP MF165D untill I find a 75 or 80 HP tractor. I currently have a JD1217 and a 1219 sickle bar MOCO. The 925 has the impellers, hydraulic tongue and the equalizer hitch and drive shaft that allows sharp turns. It came with no books so I,m off to the JD dealer to order manuels, blades and oil for the cutter sytem. I had the choice of going to an auction with a 920 or 925. I chose the 925 becuase I thought it was newer. Bill
