Sickle Bar mower

Just had a sickle bar mower given to me and have never used one. Need to know how it attaches to the draw bar. He's the description of the mower. It is green with yellow rear wheel (as in John Deere green and yellow) Has MTA 26 on the opposite of the cutting arm and says case followed by OA-14852-S on the arm that the pitman wood piece attaches to. Don't know if that means the Case tractor Co, or not. Has two levers to adjust the cutter bar. The big question is. How was it attached? The front of mower frame has a 2.5 inch by 2.5 inch piece of square tube steel with a piece of flat steel attached to the top with two slotted holes and what looks like could be an tractor pin hole. This entire piece can be adjusted by removing a horizontal pin on each end. You can raise it a bit or lower it a bit. And the enitre piece rotates backwards and forwards on these pins. So, if a guy merely put a pin in the big hole and through the tractor draw bar this frame would rotate back and the pin would likely come out. Anyone know what I'm talking about. Thanks
