Is a Kuhn rotary rake the same as a tedder?

We have both a Kuhn tedder and rake. They are both great hay tools. The rake really fluffs the hay and allows air to go through the winrow.

Kuhn makes just rotary rakes and just tedders. They also make a rotary rake/tedder combo. It is a GRS 25 N Gyrostar. It is semi-mount. There may be other models also. I puchased a used one late in the season and can't wait to try it. I don't if I will like yet. I bought it for the tedding option mainly. Kuhn makes a good disc mower from what I here. I guess I will see if the rake/tedder combo is any good. I would check their web site out for more info. I will update if it works ok.

Here in England Kuhn disc mowers and Mo/cos have an excellent reputation. They are so good that some are painted green and yellow and marketed by JD as their own!

My local Kuhn dealer is also a New Holland dealer. Not sure if they still do but Kuhn made mowers for NH. Parts were interchangable. My brotherlaw swears by Kuhn Disc Mowers. Seperate subject, but does Deere have a good reputation in the UK.
