when i was a kid we had a rollover scraper this was used to dig ponds ditches and the man we got it from used it to clean his feed lot. this implement looked like a loader bucket with oblong sides and it had tangs that came off the sides as you pulled this bucket you operated a trip lever and it would rollover and scrape untill it got full and then the weight would shift to the back and lift the cutting edge you would then trip it to dump the load and another to the travel positon i would like to know if this is the proper name for this imp and if anyone knows where i can get one

sounds like your describng a *slip scoop*. We used them with small tractors to do pond clean outs and build field roads but I have seen them used with mules and horses.

They made a bigger commercial sized one that around here they called a Fresno. The state and county had them to move dirt for road construction
