My dad and uncle demo'd one when I was young. They ended up buying a New Idea which I ran during my high school days. The dealer took the Cunningham from our place to a man down the road and he ended up with a New Holland. Seems like the Cunningham chopped the hay more than crimped it.

the ones with the two steel rollers that mesh are very good but are noise as he11 and hay will dry fast after going through it

I run a Cunningham, they are noisy, don't like gopher mounds, hay dries quickly, but they are pretty brutal to stems and leaves of fine hay. so I never use it on 3rd or 4th cutting, seldom on 2nd alfalfa. Dick Davis
