Does anyone have any experience using one of these? I am thinking about looking for one, but wanted to check to see if they were hard to use/took too much HP, etc.

Thanks for your input!

This is a new one on me - maybe I live too far north!|:)| I know the baler, I know what a flail shredder is but I'm stumped as to how the two are used together. Just a guess - has it something to do with corn stocks/stubble?

New Holland and JD made flail shredders that mount in front of the pickup unit on their balers so you can chop and bale cornstalks for livestock bedding.

It was a nice way to make stalks before big round balers became popular, but it runs a lot of abrasive dirt into the bale chamber and sometimes the cornstalks are rough on the knotter mechanism.
