I was "surfing" and ran across M&W's web page looked it over and the specs on the machines was just wondering how the were to use and rufly how much they bring new-used and if they are worth bothering with. Just looking at their web page they seem to like they would be a nice machine but no one up here has ever used one or seen one used (including implement dealer thats listed on their web page) so i figured i would see if there was anyone with some practical knowlage of them on here?

Thanks for your input

I have one and it works very well in my operation. In my mind they are a well built baler and I would not hesitate to recomend one to anybody. I prefer the "soft core" for my use.

Have used an M&W 1500 for about 10 years making about 300 4X5 bales per year. It makes a real tight well-shaped bale. the bales keep their shape til spring. You can bale anything-I've baled third cut stuff so short you'd wonder how does it do that. Not much hp needed. You can make bales too tight for cows to eat if you're not careful. M&W balers seem to be same design as the Krone.

I don't know anything about the balers, but I can tell you that the M&W BF-10 hay rakes are built like a tank. I have assembled 2 of them, and I will tell you that there is a LOT of iron in them.

The Sitrex MX-10 is the same rake. Sitrex makes M&W rakes and tedders.

We sell both M&W and Vermeer. You might want to check out the Vermeer Rebel as well.
