Gandy fertilizer boxes and IH 456 planter

I have an IH 456 planter fitted with 2 Gandy boxes per row. I don't have info on either the fertilizer or herbicide boxes as far as operation or settings. Can someone tell me how to adjust these and what type of fertilizer to use considering I want to apply about 100 lbs of nitrogen per acre and the boxes are small.

Corn Borer is right about the boxes. My concern is about putting all that nitrogen on the row. I put 300#/acre of 7-26-26 with the planter. I side dress the rest of the N. There are different forms of N, But if you put on 100# of urea on with the planter you may burn your corn. You may get by with ammonium sulfate, but with either of these you will have moisture problems in your fert. boxes. Get a book for your planter and talk to your local elavator for a fertilizer program.

The settings for the H&I boxes are on the product container.

One box is for insecticide, the other is for herbicide. Your fertilizer box would be much bigger and have one box for 2 rows, with the drops placing the fertilizer near the runner.
