I am looking for a source to buy a ratchet jack to use in place of a cylinder for moving equipment, does anyone know where a person can buy these? Here's a link if you are not sure what I am talking about http://www.hammerblow.com/ratchet.html
Has anyone used one of these? Do they work?

As the other person said, slow. Good for implements that just need to be set at a level & mostly left alone for the day, you wouldn't want it at all for something that needed to be picked up every round or even every few hours.

Most any good fleet & farm supply store in your town should have them or could order them; any machinery dealer of any color; or t s c, sh oup, va lu - bi lt and the like. All those have web sites, but I often get filtered out here if I try to include them. ;)

(Edit: In fact, I had to do some rearranging to post this..... This web site also has sources for such things, you might wish to check the references on the left & help support this place.)

GW,
Yep, used those back in the '60s when I was working for a neighbor who had implements set up for hydraulic but he didn't have a tractor with hydraulics. (The guy was looking into the future because he later bought a 4010). They work but are really slow. I have seen quite a few on farm auctions and they usually bring in the neighborhood of $15-$40.
