I have an IH McCormick silo blower with the long chute in front that feeds the silage into the blower with a rubber belt like on round balers. It is not the old silo filler with the blades that chopped the cornstalks, I have one of these as well. I was wondering if anyone knew when these were made or had any info on them such as parts or value. I can't seem to find info anywhere. Maybe it is just a rare silo blower. The only thing I need for it is the conveyor belt which is about 14" wide by 25 feet long. If anyone knows where I can find a reasonably priced place to buy conveyor belts or any other info on this blower, email me at [email protected] Thanks!

Jesse

Fleet Farm might have a belt, I do not know
if they have them 14" wide. Maybe they could
special order it.
I remember seeing a John Deere blower
in the 60's like that.

Jesse,

IH made a model 40 universal blower with a belt feed long hopper on it in the 50's and a model 45 in the early 60's.

Jesse, We had one of these table blowers in the 1950's, made by IH. I don't know the years made but I think they started in the early 50's and I believe they were available for some time.

A few years ago I got a new belt, for a self unloading wagon from a guy in western NY or Ohio whose name I can't think of right now. He used to advertise in the Country Folks paper, a paper for farmers here in the northeast, but I don't remember seeing his ad lately. I just remembered that I think it was Gable Belts but I don't have a phone no. or anything or even the town. Some equipment dealer might be able to tell you of a belt supplier.

This outfit could give you any width and length as well as a smooth belt or one more agressive with raised ribs on it. I liked the one with ribs on better as it kept the material feeding better but it was not unusual for the silage to bridge up and not feed. Then you would have to break it down but BE CAREFUL AND NOT LOSE THE FORK INTO THE BLOWER, not good!

Good luck! I hope I have been of SOME help. Roger
