If I buy a 4440 powershift john deere tractor set at 130 horse power and pull a 20 foot international disk what can I expect for fuel usage per hour?

I have a "stock" 4440. Last time we did any tillage work with it, I was chizel plowing. That's been 10 years ago. I used about 45 gallons of fuel in a 10 hour day. A 20' disc might pull a little easier. John

Most jobs with the 4430 around 3 1/2 to 5 gallons per hour. Whether tillage or chopping hay you should run 4-5 gallons per hour. I don't think I run over 6 with the 4450. But hey, that's only 19,000 hours experience with the two. No way you'll run 10. Neighbor's 6600 GAS combine did run 9 per hour, but the diesels are more efficient.

for a John Deere I would figure 10 gallons an hour just to be a little on the safe side
