I am going to spring seed bromegrass in first year alfalfa that I spring seeded in winter wheat last spring. I cut the wheat in July and I got one cutting of hay off last Sept. I want to seed some bromegrass to fill in the thin spots. I was told it is a good mix with alfalfa. My question is how many pounds per acre? Seeding it in late March a good time to seed brome grass in mid-north Indiana? Any info appreciated. Thanks, John

I live in Central Iowa and we seed brome in mid April after last frost. Use 3-4 lbs./a when seeding into alfalfa. Good Luck.
