I recently bought an AC #7 rake/tedder. I am looking for some teeth for it. From the dealer they are $9 each!! Ouch! V a l u-b i l t has them listed for $1.89. Has anyone tried them? I am going to order and few and see if they fit, but just was curious if anyone else has tried them. Anyone have experience with the AC #7? I bought mine mostly to ted with, but if it works good as a rake i might use it for that too. Thanks for the help.

The first rake I ever used was a AC that tedded and raked. It was pto driven. It did a good job. We used it for raking and tedding. I wish I could find one local. The front wheel would pivot which made it easy to double windrow. I have seen a couple with broken gear boxes. Not sure why they do that. I wouldn't be afraid to try the $1.89 teeth. I know we used after market teeth. They seemed to work ok. $9.00 is a little out of line. Good Luck.

I have a AC pto driven rake. Take pic tomorrow if someone will identify. Would like opperating manual or instructions on it. Copy okay.

This one was two. Lots of broken parts but enough to re-assemble one high-bred machine. Found ratchets to tight. Backed off, machine works well. If it plugs I backup, lower tractor gear and try again. Ussually works fine until over loaded, trying to rake impossably wet hay. Either case, drop travel gear before continueing.

Best durned rake on the farm out of 3/4.
Be back tomorrow.
