Here is the picture that we asked Bob to provide of the Big Brute Mini Hoe and his questions. Sorry it took me so long to get it on the board.

Does anyone know where this was made, how much it sold for new, and where can you get parts for it? I have searched everywhere and no luck. all it says on it is big brute mini hoe. I have not tried to use it yet, but will soon. I paid a hundred bucks for it, and would like to know how good a deal I got, and would also like to know if there is anything to watch out for when mounting or using it. any help would be greatly appreiciated. thanks bob

That looks like a handy little deal for $100. Correct me if I'm wrong, it looks like it has a trip on the bucket? I also think it is s'posed to have a hyd. cylinder between the 3pt. and the vertical piece that holds the bucket. If it was mine I would get rid of that top link there and put a cylinder there. I dont know what you are mounting it on but but I wouldnt think you should have to look out for any problems.

yes,it has a trip bucket on it. I haven't put a pull cord on it yet. I think it pretty much operates like a 3 point scoop, in that you have to drive it into the dirt with the tractor, that's a good idea you got adding a long hydraulic cylinder in place of that long toplink . It is actually two or three toplinks welded together, and everytime you want to dig deeper, I'm guessing you have to get off the tractor and adjust it. I think the biggest headache will be not being able to swing it side to side to dump the bucket. but hey, I got time as long as I am just using it around the house, I figured as long as it would save me some shoveling, it was worth the hundred bucks. I got ditches that need cleaned and drain lines to dig for downspouts. what do you think something like this would be worth new at a farm supply store or implement dealer? I seen three point dirt scoops for $200, and I would rather have this thing than a scoop, so my guess is maybe three hundred new, but I really don't know for sure. the bucket is quarter inch steel, and the teeth are solid steel, it is built much stronger than a dirt scoop. my only concern I guess is adjusting it properly to fit my 9n , the boom requires me to remove the tractor toplink, and it has a boom within the boom that is adjustable with a bolt on top that goes thru both of them, I'll figure it out as I go I guess, first time I ever seen one or heard of one.

I have never seen one of those for sale but I would say if it will work for you it is well woth the $$. Heck, I would buy it for $100 but I would tear it up quick with my tractor. If that top boom is ajustable as you say that is a real plus. You can dig as deep or shallow as you want. I do not know to much abouy a 9N so I couldnt say how much stress the 3 point will take though. Good luck and have fun with it.

just wanted to add that the hoses you see in the pic are from my air compressor, not hydraulics on the mini hoe. it has no hydraulics or outriggers of any kind.
