The only posthole digger on the ranch was ancient, rusted and forlorn, sitting over in a corner of the back barn. I knew from my childhood that it dated from the late 1940's or early 1950's.

The auger was rusted to scrap and the 3 point hitch adaptor was missing, so I'd written it off as being unusable and unsupportable, and I went shopping for a new digger on the web.

Much to my surprise, when I looked at models from the "DANUSER" company, there was my machine, an "F8" and proudly labelled as "In Production Since 1943"

So, I emailed the Danuser address, and received back email and advice from Glenn Danuser (the company is still family owned) regarding my digger. Yes, I can still get parts, yes it should work fine...etc.

Even more amazing, unasked for, the ranch mailbox had a large brown envelope with owners manual, parts lists, advice and new 'Safety Warning Stickers' for my posthole digger !

In an era of mass-produced junk and planned obselesence it's really gratifying to see this.

Needless to say, I'm impressed and glad to know that there are still companies in business like this, I wish there were more like them.

Just thought I'd pass this along.

That's it buddy. I'm always glad to hear of someone like these people you found.
I get so sick of Wal Mart and Auto Zone type places.

Great , gee I wonder if they would consider buying out say " Sears" and numerous other
companies that used to give good service?
Not many around like that any more, glad to hear you found at least one. Stan
