Anyone ever heard of an Oliver 415 sickle bar mower? I saw one in the paper for about $300. It is a 7' and a pull behind model.

Are they reliable, are parts available?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Bill; We had one and pulled a crimper behind it,believe it was a model 37, crimper. It was Oliver also Dad bought it all new back then. Ran it for long time basically just wore it out. they are hard to find parts now for. But they were a good unit. Rick

I have one, havent used it for several years, exact same as Cockshutt except paint, carries same number, avaible with rope or hydrolic lift and hay conditioner hitch on back, even with good cutter bar good to have loaded tires to counteract side draft, work good, you should when you unhook block the back end up as that is heavy and without that hard to lower hitch to hook up.
