Nea desprite. This machine missed last season's harvest. Need 12' auger replacement. Picture doesn't show deteriation. The auger's bent twice, rusted so thin I fear turning it will distroy whats left of an usable pattern if it comes to that. Would acually like another, regardless some rust. Capable welder.
Then again if I could find someplace to roll new sheet metal. Only bad part in entire machine is this cussed paper thin Auger. Great mower conditioner for small fields. Quick turn arounds I'm back before I get there.

I might have been in your area. used to spend a lot of time at James Lake just east of Watersmeet.

The best times I had was when I had gottten to far into the wilderness to walk back out before Sun down. Worried my old man something awful. I'd sleep curled up undwer the loving bows of a pine tree, coming out hungrier than a Spring bear. We go get something to eat. He'd got to bed having worried all night about me. I'd go back u\out and find a new place to get lost.

Don't think it would be near as much fun now, the DNR having cut in somany new forest roads.

Close to 600mi from here I'll gve it some thought. I loved that forested country.
Thanks

Think A bit further North, Ontnogan River. Visited that area walking 20' feet or more on tree trunks of tobbled trees that couldn't get a good root hold on the rocks. Blood-red that creek passing though that ore country.

The South Branch,Middle Branch and the east branch of the ontonagon river are all within 10 miles of me,,I used to trout fish on the middle branch when I was a kid,, South Branch is good farther upstream from here....Bergland is 20 miles west and has Lake Gogebic, Walleye capital of the world,,,I am surrounded by lakes, rivers and streams, all good fishing,,,Jim

You're just a bit north of Bruce's crossing. Somewhere near there I had tracted a bear three days only to have pushed him out onto an open road were somebody else shot him. That was my last bare hunt. Went with clothes on after that.

Maybe these folks could help you. They have a big metal shop and build combine header augers.

Schmidt Machine Company, Upper Sandusky OH 800-589-3814 (www.schmidtmachine.com)

(I don't work for them, just know of them as a Ag equipment dealer)
