Ok, ok. It's still early, but the first green is starting to poke through, so it's time to start getting the baler ready. Last year I had problems keeping the twine tension consistent, so I guess I'll repair or replace the tensioner plates and spring. Any of you guys ever used a spring scale to measure the how many pounds of pull at which the tensioner should be set for optimal operation?
Thanks.

Sorry Chip, but there is no such test. You simply set them for your own preference. Having said that, a good starting point is leaving about 1/8" clearance at the top edge of the spring, just before you bottom out the 3/8" bolt used to hold the twine tension spring. However, some twine holders need more and some need a little less, but not many need less. Steve
