Hello SO. Ill. farmer. I am not familiar with a 175 tedder, but NH did mak a 157, but it is a trailer type, not 3pt. Let me correct one thing I said. NH never made a 157 tedder, but they did purchase one from Kuhn. Are they any good? In my opinion, they are pretty decent. The only thing I would say is they are built like typical European equipment. They work, but not built overly heavy. Steve

Thanks for imput.I was wrong about the model # it was N.H. 157 tedder.I didnt buy it because I felt it went too high 975.00 for the condition.Locale F.N.H dealer said it was worth between 500. to 750.Serial # tag said it was made in France. But Steve this unit was 3pt. Thanks again for your help.John

The NH and JD tedders are both Kuhn made. They are as strong as any european built tedders. The best bit about the FOUR basket tedders is that they fold for highway travel. BUT and it is a very big BUT - The Kuhn built tedders have a 'digi-drive' at the point of articulation on the wings. If you enguage PTO accidently when the wings are folded to 90 degrees they WILL BE OK!! But any other brand with single universal joints will slip clutch or smash unis/gears. The digi drive is patented by Kuhn. The digi drive is a little like a pair of hands with interlocking fingers (digits-digidrive), a bit like the elbow on the overhead sheep shearing drives atleast here in Australia.
