Can anyone tell me how to set wheel spacing for either a 2 or 3 bottom plow? Thanks Terry

According to "Operation Care and Repair of Farm Machinery " 1957 Edition, "The distance between the center line of the tractor and the inside of the tire is determined
by the size of the plow; 23-1/2" for 12" plows,
25-1/2" for 14" plows, and 27-1/2" for 16" plows. When plowing at depths greater than 8 ", add 1 inch to the dimensions above." This is for 3 point hitch plows. Trailer plows are more involved.

Not sure if it's considered mold board plow or not. 3 point hitch, 3 16 inch flat bottoms. Need to know what spacing I need to set my rear wheels to get best production from the plow. thanks/Terry

Do you mean rear tractor wheel spacing for a pull-type moldboard plow? Line of draft for any plow is 1/4 plow bottom width to the left of center of the plow. Set the plow hitch at that line. With the tractor hitch in the center of the tractor, set the tractor furrow wheel so it runs in the furrow, next to the furrow wall.

It all depends...

Joun Deere pull-type plows were usually "Ofset hitched"...and our tires were set about 27" from the center, to the inside of the tire.. for a 2-14" pull type.. A 3-Point plow would need a narrower wheel spacing, as it cannot be offset-hitched..
