I have pulled the pan on a 1948 8n looking for a slight knock. The first thing I noticed was all the rods are not centered on the piston pins. All are toward the front of the engine. One even touching the piston. The crank has been turned .020 on the rod jounals. The sleeves and pistons were replaced a couple years ago.Bearings looked good at that time.Any ideas gentlemen,Thanks.
