years ago I saw a sevice note on recovering a rubber roller for a massey ferguson 506c baler(605c vereer). If I remember right,it told how to wrap the roll with belting. The MF dealer have no record of this any more. Any one know about this repair?

The roller can be sent back to the rubber factory to be recoated. By the time you pay all the shipping costs you can almost buy a new roller. When you get the new roller you will get a new shaft with it. You might want to try to find a 605C or 605D that has been junked and rob the roller out of it. Though more than likely it was junked becuase the rubber roller wore out. A new one is around $500. I would make sure that you have a late model with double springs and that the rest of it is in good shape before you spend a lot of money on it.
