Picked up a solid looking new holland running gear. ID tag on the rear axle says model 14 and the serial # 85140. Has 6 bolt hubs. Call three different dealers trying to determine the tonage rating and all three had different answers. All they have is the parts manual which doesn't say the spec's. Wondering if any one has a model 14 or knows the tonage rating. I'd guess about 4,5, or 6 tons just from the 6 bolt hubs.

well when i asked this question when i bought my model 14 NH gear the answer i got was it was a 4 ton gear, and my dealer confirmed that later also, like the other guy said the tounge is the weak point mine was all bent up when i got it, i made a new one from 2x4 steel tubing 1/8 wall thickness which has held up fine

Matthew, the 14 was a 6 ton gear. It makes a very good hay wagon. there are still a number of them in use today. Steve

Can't help with the tonnage, but my advice is to watch the tongue, NH's were notorious for having weak tongues.... Ours broke for the last time this past summer.....
