I posted a picture on here acouple days ago. I was trying to find out what kind of plows I had bought. They turned out to be Ford model 101's. The 3 point upper link mast was on backwards. When I turned them around, I found blue paint. Also I found a couple part #'s that are Ford #'s. Thanks for the help everyone. Here's a picture of the finished product. John

Looks like you have the top link set in the cat. 1 hole and on a cat. 2 tractor, for cat. 2 use top hole.

You'd think that, but the lower hole is the bigger one. It's the size of a cat. 2 top-link pin. The upper is the size of the cat. 1 pin. In all likelyhood, I'll use a cat 1 pin, with an adapter bushing when I go to plow with it. John

The cross shaft for the Cat II set up is different. If you are using the Cat I for the lift arms then you need to use the Cat I top link hole. If you change it over to the Cat II cross shaft then you will need to use the Cat II hole to balance the plow's draft response.

Thats what I had said in my post about your picture. I had disassembled mine to clean it and did not get back to the thing for a couple of months. I studied long and hard looking at the manual to decide how that thing went back together. A 101 plows good and the parts are so available it is pitiful. If you have any hills to plow you will love that width adjustment lever. It helps compensate as the grade changes. Good luck

That is not a width adjusting lever. If you look between the beams there is a locking collar with a set screw that adjusts the width of cut in two inch incrediments. That lever is for adjusting plows to trail straight behind the tractor, the toplink should be running straight when plowing.

Funny, that is exactly what Ford calls it on pg 11 in the manual. And I quote "Width of Cut Adjusting Lever: The adjusting lever, Figure 17, may be installed to replace the cross shaft J-bolt. The adjusting lever is especially useful for hillside plowing, where frequent width-of-cut corrections are necessary. Moving the adjusting lever forward increases, and rearward decreases, the width of cut." Not trying to be a smarty but making sure that we have accurate information in the archives.
