I just bought a Case 230 square baler. It was shedded and in good shape. What am I in for? Are parts available. No book, is there one available?

I have seen two sell this past year at farm sales. They were both pretty much parts balers and since the tires were rotton the iron man didn't even want them and they went for $5.00 each, so keep watching the sales, you should be able to get a parts unit or two very cheap.

Don't know the answers to your questions but if thats the baler I seen in the ad for Craig,Mo. it sure did look nice. Was interested myself but couldn't make the sale. Have fun with her, I sure someone can help you out.

I've got a neighbor who has a 200 that I've borrowed when my 273 was down. It's a good baler other than being a little on the slow side.

You can get the books from your Case dealer, if I'm not mistaken, the operators manual is $8, shop manual is $12, and the parts book is $16 (I could be off a dollar or two)

I'd start looking for a parts baler, you don't even want to know how much needles cost... on the plus side, you can probably pick a parts baler pretty cheap.
