Steve My buddy and I have NH haybines, I have a NH 489 and He has a 479, and the rollers on boath are starting to delaminate also. He thinks we should try to use rubber roof patches on them. What do you think? Also how complicated is it to work on the wobble box or whatever the sickle drive is called on the 479, my biddies needs new berings. Thanks Adam R

Adam, I've never tried a patch, but I sure would be interested in the results if someone did try it. The 479 wobble box is easier to work on than the 489 box. Steve

Adam, I would never try to tell anyone they shouldn't attempt or try something, but in the case of the 474,489,492,1465 wobble box, please be very careful, ok? Steve

Will do Steve, I kept the old standby New Idea haybine around just incase, the 489 goes down. I will fix this haybine right, the NI's are the ones that gets rigged.
