Trying to pull bars out that holds the rubber teeth on, the bearings on the ends or nuckles seems wore? Trying to pull belt pully off so I can slide the bar off. Check ends & replace teeth any help on an easy way need a puller to pull off belt hub. Then will have room to take off bars& check bearing at the ends.

Pull the baler up on some ramps (like the ones you use to change oil in trucks). This will give you some room to work with the pickup reel. Remove the outer three bands from the reel to gain access to the cam pins. There are two bolts that hold the tooth bar to the cam pins. They should be grade 8 with lock nuts. There are metal bushings in the reel frame that might need to be replaced. Using a pair of vice grips clamp down on the new bushing and drive it in with a hammer as the new goes in old will go out. Also on the left side of the baler there is a small shield that is removed with a 9/16 wrench. This will give you acces the left side cam pins and bearings. After the tooth bar bolts are removed the cam pins will come out of this side. The cam pins on the right side do not see the wear that the left side sees and you with probably not have to mess with them or the pulley.
All parts a avialable from your local Vermeer dealer. If the cam pins are worn and the holes are not rounded out then I would weld them up and grind down with a side grinder as these parts are expensive.
