I would appreciate any information on these balers like required HP, quality of bale, reliability, when they were sold and any other information. Thank you MIKE

4ft wide up 5ft diameter around 1000 pound bale depending on hay. The hyd. cylinder in the middle will control bale density. around 50hp depending on conditions. Made in the mid 80's. Good baler.

Hello Mike. Although I was primarally, a John Deere farmer, I did have a M.F. 1455 round baler. It did an excellent job of making good solid bales. I ran it on a John Deere 2120 that I believe was in around 60 HP. I only made about 200 bales a year. As for maintenance, there was very little required. Just the odd belt repair, and of course regular lubrication. If I were farming again, I would not hesitate to purchase another M.F. round baler. Robert.
