I believe that the 501 is a mower that was made by IH and is still sold as a Model 1300. You can get a manual from a case/ih/nh dealer

Try New Holland's website. Got reprint manuals there for other mowers.

501 is a good machine, still use one as well.

I ordered one from my local New Holland dealer Two weeks ago. It is back orderd, but available or they would not have taken my $12.00. Bill

I spke to a very nice lady at NH today on the phone. She spent probably 20 minutes trying to find the manual for a 501. Finally she said she was going to need to talk with someone else because she could not find it in their system. She took my number and said she would call back. I'm on the west coast and they are not but I did not hear back from her today. Hopefully tomorrow. I can't imagine why she would have all this difficulty locating the manual. It sounds like the NH dealers are able to find it on their system and order it so it appears they are available (maybe backordered). I'm guessing they all come from the same place.
