Folks,
It is time to get out the ATV sprayer and spray the alfalfa. I have been using a blend of Poast and Pursuit for rye grass and broadleaf weeds. I know I will use the Poast again but was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for something better than Pursuit? We will be spraying for Clover Weevils in late Feb early March and I need to go ahead and order whatever I am going to use.

Check with local dealers for herbicides appropriate for your area. Some are approved for certain areas of the country according to soil type and weather conditions, and not in others. Sort of like asking for advice on how to put in electrical service. Makes a difference where you live and regs that need to be adhered to. Lately some new herbicides have come out that are used on hay ground- stuff we only hoped for years ago.

Not sure about Pursuit, never used it. I normally spot spray Poast for Johnsongrass and broadcast spray with Gramoxone just after I bale if I'm having a broadleaf problem. Cheap and effective but can be tough on your grasses if it is a mixed stand.
