I went to a sale today and bought what looks to be a clean Heston pt-10 haybine. Paid $375.00 for it. I'm wondering the vintage, if parts, manual are available. Also any comments on experience with them is appreciated. Thanx, Larry

I have one that is a '68. There are differences from machine to machine for each model year it seems. I have a couple parts machines where the pitman assembly and chain drive configuration are different. The Hesston PT 10 is similar to the Case 555 models so I usually go to CNH to get parts as it is closer, although have easier time getting what I need through my AGCO dealer.

I have a selfpropelled Hesston, 110 I think, about 1967. I have no trouble getting parts. It's all beltdriven, a bear to change belts, but it mows my 30 acres every year.

Haybine is a NH trademark, but since the parent companies are the same one now I don't think they will mind. Kind of like all crawlers are Cats.

I think you better reconsider. New Holland is in bed with CaseIH, CNH (Case New Holland) and Heston is under the Agco banner, Deere has everything else.

I have a PT-7, the little brother to your PT-10.
They were mostly made in the mid to late 70s. I
have had excellent service from mine. The few
parts that I needed were available from Hesston
dealer no problem. The manual might still be
available from Hesston as well. If not, a GOOD
dealer will copy you one from his manual or you
could watch ebay or put an ad in YT's classifieds.
