Hello Everyone, I want to build a 54 inch wide Tandom Disc Harrow. I can build it in single mode also. I have several questions. Will a 19 horsepower four wheel drive Kubota B8200 have enough power to pull it? What angle should the disc harrow be set? The design is one that I'm copying. It shows a fix angle. How critical is it to have the angle adjustable? It would be easier to build it fixed, however if adjustable is better. I'm not against changing the design. All help is appreciated. Thanks, Benjamin J. "Joe" Browning [email protected] Longview, Washington 98632

I would think you would have plenty of power. I would not know what angle to suggest but I would prefer to have the adjustable angles for different conditions. the greater the angle the more aggressive the cutting action of the disc lesser angle for a smoother seed bed on the final pass.
