Hi, my dad and now brother has had one for years. The only problem is getting parts for it now. Had a the drive sprocket for the chian that drives the beaters break. IH no longer stocked the part. Had to buy generic sprocket at TSC. The other troublesome thing is the rubber cross conveyor. Have replaced it once. If you were doing corn silage the silage would leak onto the top side of the bottom of the belt and then wrap around the drive roller causing belt to slip. IH came out with a fix to put belt material along the sides of the conveyor belt to keep the material on the conveyor belt.
The other hint is to loosen the conveyor belt tension adjusting bolts when the wagon is in storage. The other precaution is don't let the conveyor belt get wet in the rian as it will stretch and slip.
Never had a problem with conveyor chian. Neighbor has a newer model with double conveyor chain and cross auger. Chian broke once and before auger could be stopped cross slat from chian went into the forage blower.
