I bought a electric wagon model # 660 and was wondering how big in ton s is it? It has a hoist on it and i have to build a bed for it. I was thinking about 18' with steel channel iron beams.

What are you planning to put on that dump bed? I have an A-C 701 gear (made by Electric) that is rated at 7 tons (6 bolt wheels). There is a 6x10 dump bed on it, with 5' high sides. When I fill that with ear corn, it's all the hoist wants to lift. So you need to know what your hoist is rated at, too.

I want to use it for hauling round bales off the field.Load it with the uniloader and dump them off at the buildings. Move and stack them in the shed when all have been hauled or run out of room.

Rule of thumb I learned was to count lug nuts on each wheel and #= tons eg 5 lug 5 ton, 8 lug 8 ton.
