There was a company called LaPlante-Choate that made cable loaders for BI and AI 2-cylinder industrials. Could this be from them?

I had the same loader on my 1927 D. Took the stupid thing off when I started restoring the tractor because it wore the tractor out. I saw a picture somewhere on the internet of an Oliver 70 or 77 with a loader that looked like that one. The picture discription said it was a Ben Coates loader. Hope this helps.

My neighbor has a loader very similar to this one. It is mounted on an H Farmall. I have looked at it several times and cannot find a name plate. Wayne claimed his was made in Hutchinson Kansas by a machine shop that used a kit of some kind. There was also one similar to it built in Wichita using the same belt drive winch. The machine shops bought the winch kit and then added their own frame. Waynes had a brake to keep it from dropping to fast. All it really does is give you time to get good and scared.
