Early 60's MH swather - 12 or 6 volt?

I've got an engine here that I pulled out of what I think was an early 60's MH swather, I think the guy said it was a model 34 or something like that (does that sound right)? Anyways, it is the 140 cubic inch version of the Continental 4-cylinder flathead that I am going to drop into a little Case V tractor later this year. Were these MH swathers 6V or 12V? Seems to me the guy said it was 12V but that was quite a few years ago and the generator does not indicate the voltage. Thanks for your help.

I believe it is 12 volt, but to be sure, take your generator somewhere to get it bench tested, the tech will know by looking, but after a load test you will be sure. It would be good to test older electronics anyway to make sure they are up to snuff.

Hope this helps
