fertlizer spreader

i'm looking for a ground driven 3pt. or hitch pull fertlizer/lime DROP spreader. NOT SLING type. i know of the old style massive fertlizer distributors that i used to use, but they are way too wide for my use. i'm going to use it to drop lime and fertlizer in a narrow band in the row. anyone know of such a implement? i did a search and came up with nothing and the local tractor dealership is of no help either. any help is appreciated.

Covington planters from Georgia or Alabama make fert and lime drop applicators. I've used one for sidedressing fert for three years and am pleased with it. They recently were talked about on this site concerning their purchase of the Cole-Powell planter company.

Do you have room to run a 12' unit? Build a false floor in it & leave openings where you want the fertilizer placed. Wouls end up looking like an old grain drill inside.
