Gents,

After reading lots and lots of posts, both pro and con, I've decided I want to try and bale my own bermuda, and no, you naysayers can't talk me out of it!.

I'd like to find original Dearborn equipment to go along with my Ford 8N.

Do any of you know where I might be able to find what I'm looking for? I can road trip, so distance is not really a factor.

Any names, #'s, web sites, etc would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Dearborn rakes and mowers should be OK to keep running, but a Dearborn/Ford 250 baler might be a little more of a challenge parts-wise. Just plan ahead and buy parts when you find them and keep a stock on hand. Preventive maintenance is a wonderful thing when it comes to balers.

There is a Ford baler for sale here for around $500. Thing is suppose to be in great shape but doesn't look the best. The dealer also has two MF balers that look great but have been used a lot and are also $500. Dealer is Rogers and Son in Cherry Creek, NY if anyone is interested.

Mike,
NH or MF is my back-up plan. I want Dearborn stuff just for the "period" look to go w/ my 8N. I grew up in the 60's-80's around early Ford V8's from the 1934 to 1953 era. I knew what a flathead engine was long before most little kids new anything at all about cars, so "Ford" runs pretty deep in my blood. Heck, we even had a cat named "Flathead" at one point.

Still, if you run across anything Dearborn, please give me a shout. Thanks!

I've got a dearborn mower if you are interested. Stuff shows up all the time and is not all rusted up here in our dry climate.
