I bought a 640 at an auction a few years ago and really like it compared to the 494 I had, as far as parts, you can get most anything you need at the MF dealer except for the seed plates, they said the seed companys should have them but haven't found any yet. I would make sure the bearings on the opener discs and the seed pads behind the seed plates are in good shape before I bought it cause these are what will probably need to be replaced first.

Thanks for the info Gene,I found a good # for milo plates 7058509 MF dealer can order but they are 39.00 each. I wondered if you might have some milo to trade for bean.thanks jp

Plastic, about 14 inches in dia. one side is flat with depressions for kernels around the circumference, the other side has ribs coming from the hub in the center to the outside circumference for reinforcement. The hub has a 1/2 inch hole in it. I'm just guessing at these measurements.
