NH268 and NH269 baler???

I'm wondering about the hitch on the NH 268 baler is it actually shorter in length then the NH269 with the 3 joint PTO shaft. Or are they the same length just the NH269 is a 3 joint shaft where as the 268 is only two U-joint? How much difference does the 3 U-joint pto make over the standard 2 on the 268.

Matthew, the tongue on a 268 is much shorter than a 269. Yes, there is a difference in how they work. When turning, a 268 pto is noisier. The long tongue 269 is deffinately better, but if you have long straight rows the 268 will do just fine. Steve
