I have a Wisconsin model VH4D engine and fuel tank off my JD 224AW baler. I am converting the baler from engine drive to pto drive. The engine is in very good to excellent condition and has always had maticulous service. I am getting ready to sell it and I need to have some idea as to what to ask for it. The fuel tank is the factory JD tank that came on the baler. Thanks for the help Steve

I saw one go on ebay a month ago for $860 plus shipping. They had compression test results and did a good job of marketing. I have a VH4D on a Case windrower and was thinking on parting it out if I could get that much for the engine.

Hello Steve, I agree that Ebay is good. You might also try the classfied ad section on this forum. I disagree about the price posted by Paul. They can and do go for quite a bit more. Hope this helps, Joe

If you're near an Amish area, multiply that number by 6 or 7. A friend of mine had an electric start one off an old New Holland 77 baler. Ran fine. Advertized it in the regional paper and a young Amish man had somebody drive him here from Lancaster PA in a pickup truck, peeled off 6 $100 bills, and took it home.
