Just bought a very experienced old grain drill.
Anyone out there ever used the seed box for putting down fertilizer? My organic supplements ( volcanaphos) is the same consistancy as a commercial fertilizer and I thought with the capability of seeding 300# plus of wheat seed, the unit might do the trick of spreading my supplements saving the cost of buying a rarely available (for sale) used spreader. I have another IH MF drill with fertilizer box in good condition, but no star distributors. Too cheap to buy new ones at 22 georges and cents per star.
