What type of tire tread is used on a 494 A planter??

we had used whatever held it up making sure both tires were of the same make like size.

You can probably use a implement tire with no problems of slipping. My 494A has plain implement tire and I run in clay ground, and I don't have any troubles. Now if you live where your ground is always soft, you might want to have cleat tires. I believe the commom size of the tires are 6.00x16. Hope this helps!

The 494 & 494A both used 6:70 X 15", you could buy a tractor tread tire with the planter new but most just used old car tires
