I have run across a 283 without a thrower. It has one broken needle and the other one has been brazed. The rest of the baler appears to be in decent shape. The twine fingers look like they might need some attention but i do have a parts baler. Are all the twine fingers the same on the NH's? How about knotters. I have one brand new knotter and am going to rebuild another. They are off of a 14x16 baler, would the work on a 16x18?? Thanks for any help. Brandon

Hi Brandon. Yes, twine fingers will all interchange. All standard knotters on 14x18 and 16x18 will interchange. Heavy duty knotters will also interchange with each other. Steve

Thanks for the info Steve. Just curious, would you have any idea what I should offer him for the baler? It's been sitting outside, but doesn't appear to be worn too bad. Thanks again, Brandon

Brandon, over the years, I have hesitated to throw out numbers to a customer as to what something may be worth, regardless if he is the buyer or the seller. When a 3rd party is involved, someone (buyer or seller) could get a tad upset. So what I usually do is ask the person what dollar figure (buying or selling) they had in mind and I will then comment if I feel that number is in the ballpark or not. I feel that this is a little more fair to all. Hope you don't mind, Steve
