bearing blocks disc cultivator

Im trying to fix an old pull behind disk for an elderly neighbor. I don't know what brand it is but it has wooden bearing blocks that the disc shafts rotate in (is that what they are called?) Can anyone tell me where to find replacements? they are approximately 3 1/4 inch in diameter and 4 3/4 inch long with a 2 inch center bore. Made in two halves with 2 holes in each half for grease to enter. Thanks GaryinMOOzarks

Gary, There's a company on the web that sells the blocks. I just saw them while goofing off at work, and surfing the web. Wait until tomorrow if you can, and I'll send you the link. I think it's exactly what you want.

Since you also from Missouri you should be able to find a saw mill close to you and pick up some oak and make them out of it. And if your close enough to me I have a friend that has a mill. I'm at the lake of the ozarks

Have made replacement bearings for these old machines fron various hardwoods. If I didn't have my favorite hard maple handy I found freeze-drying some box-elder a quick and fair substitute. A table saw, a bit from your local hardware store, some thought, and you should have it made. Good Luck.
