As one of the other guys mentioned, if it has a seat, it was designed to be horse drawn. I have never seen a horse drawn 3 bottom plow. I live near an Amish area. Most use 1 bottom and only occasionly will you see a 2 bottom plow being used. It would take a heck of a bunch of horses to pull a 3 bottom.

Daniel: You've got me curious, 3 bottom plow with a seat. Had to be designed for horses or mules. Can you get a picture? Or can you describe more detail? Any sign of paint anywhere? Even just a bit. I have quite good books on IH and Oliver plows. Keep going, this one is a gem.

plows were poorly marked and unless you can find a trademark on the castings or recognise the numbers you about out of luck. Get Alan King's book "Horse Drawn Plows" maybe you can find it pictured in there.
