I read your post about using the geotextile fabric in a feeding area. I thought about it before but after last year's wet summer I have to try something. Where can I buy it?
I notice you said about $1 per foot. I won't need a whole roll. Is it possible to buy it by the running foot?
Thanks for the help!

I get mine from our local NRCS District (county) Office. They get it and sell it by the foot or by the roll (I think they get a quarter more for it if you buy less than a full roll). Our local Southern States Co-op has it also (they have a heavier grade (like would go under an Interstate)).

I'm not sure where David buys his at, but I've bought it from a "concrete, and building products distributor" Among it's many uses, it is used for a "base" under asphalt roads. You might try to buy a piece from a local paving contractor. Listen to Kyhayman. He's the man! He always has the right answers. John

John, you are too kind.

When I was a kid I believed I had all the answers, now I'm not sure I even know all the questions :-).

Warmest Regards and Happy Holidays.

David

Thanks guys. I really enjoy the advice and opinions on this forum. There is a lot of knowledge here!
However I teach ninth grade-14 and 15 years olds. They know EVERYTHING! Isn't it amazing that we forget so much that we knew during our teenage years. Ben Franlin put it well. He said "The older I get the less sure I am right about anything and the more inclinded I am to listen to the opinion of others".

Sorta like what my dad used to tell me. "The older you get, the smarter I'll get". It took me about 40 years to figure out what he meant. And do you know what? He was right! John
